STAFF at the Asda Cockhedge store have been celebrating a successful summer of fundraising for a variety of causes.

The supermarket's 'Summer tickled pink' fundraiser, which raises money for Breast Cancer Care and the Breast Cancer Campaign, took the total raised this year to £4,254.21

A packed car filled with donations was also taken to the RSPCA Warrington branch after the cause was nominated by customers to receive a £200 cheque from the Asda Foundation.

While the latest 'Chosen by you, given by us' nominees are Camsley Grange Riding for the Disabled, Warrington Sea Cadets and the Warrington Hospital Charity.

Customers can collect green tokens from checkouts to vote for the charity of their choice.

The nominee with the most tokens will receive a £200 cheque.

Any charities wishing to nominate themselves should e-mail community_warrington@asda.co.uk.

A spokesman added: "Our fundraising year to date figure is £15,279.03 and we would to thank our customers and colleagues for all your hard work and support so far this year."
