AN INVESTIGATION has been launched following a suspicious incident involving a young man carrying a suspected handgun or imitation weapon in Appleton.
Police are appealing for information following the incident, which took place at a convenience store in Bridge Lane at around 1.45pm on Friday, November 14.
Officers have confirmed that a young man entered Londis and, after a few moments, brandished what appeared to be weapon.
Staff members spotted the weapon and the man immediately left the store and was seen to place it in a bum-bag.
The offender is thought to be in his mid to late teens, white, wearing a blue hooded jacket and a dark-coloured snood over his face.
