A 39-YEAR-OLD man from Kingsway North had all his birthday wishes come true after milking a cow during an udder-ly eye-opening experience on Saturday.

Ever since watching the process take place on television at the start of the year, Chris Bradley made his dream known to wife, Lorraine, who set up the opportunity after his birthday on March 6.

Chris ticked off the entry to his bucket list following the day at Northwich's Stockley Farm and the sales consultant even hinted at a change in career.

"I don't know exactly why but it is something that I have always wanted to do and have thought about it since January," he said.

"It was great to learn the process of milking the cow and to find out how it is all done."

Shortly after milking the cow, Chris raised the possibility of a new role in the farming industry to Lorraine but it seems he may not be switching the desk for the hay just yet.

He said: "It was a little bit tongue in cheek when I mentioned it to Lorraine."

Accompanied by his kids Zachary, aged 5, and Maisy, aged 3, Chris also got to drive the tractor on site - a part of the day which surprisingly eclipsed the cow milking.

"It was a great day out and Stockley Farm's staff were all tremendous for giving me the chance to do it," he said.

"I thought I was only going to be miking the cow but I also got to drive the tractor, use the digger and all the hand devices - that was probably the best part of it all."

Lorraine, aged 40, is proud to have pulled off the spectacle, with the help of the farm, and admits it may even happen again.

"It was an amazing day and John Walton, the owner of the farm, really looked after us," she said.

"The kids loved it and there was also a lot for them to do - they got to feed the lambs, which was nice.

"After it all, John told us that we can come round to the farm at any time."

Having been married for almost eight years, the couple's desire to experience the more unique things in life is only set to continue.

"Next, I want to drive a tank and Lorraine wants to be cut in half by a magician," added Chris.
