HIGH winds have caused the speed limit on the Thelwall Viaduct to be cut to 30mph.
Gusts of over 50mph were recorded overnight in the town, forcing the measure.
The winds are forecast to continue throughout the morning.
A HGV shed its load early this morning, causing the M6 to close southbound for a short time while police cleared the road.
Meanwhile the wind is also affecting train services. Trains from Warrington Bank Quay to the Lake District are being delayed by around one hour.
