FROZEN stars, boybands, guitarists and the popular Wire Choir are among 20 family-friendly entertainers performing at Golden Square on Saturday for the official Disability Awareness Day (DAD) launch party.
The free event will be officially opened by Mayor Geoff Settle and Warrington Disability Partnership’s (WDP) chief executive officer Dave Thompson at 10.50am in the Old Market Square.
Pete Pinnington Presents will then compere throughout a fun-packed afternoon which includes Ella Together, an inclusive group for young adults with learning disabilities, who are performing Oliver at the Parr Hall in September.
The event will kick off a week-long schedule of activity to raise awareness about disability and what is available in Warrington ahead of DAD on July 12.
Highlights include Wingates Brass Band performing a set of show-stoppers, film scores and pop and rock classics on July 9 and a DAD mega barbecue, quiz and charity auction on July 10 at Walton Hall and Gardens.
