SIX parking fines issued to motorists who parked at the Town Hall to attend Warrington Mela on Sunday will be quashed.
The council has confirmed that 'due to confusion' the penalties given to those who thought the car park was free will no longer be collected.
A council spokesman said the fines would have been £25 each.
He added: "The car park at the Town Hall is a pay and display car park seven days a week.
"We are aware of concerns raised and are considering the issue for future events."
