A HOST of former Warrington Wolves stars are looking to enter the record books when they play the highest game of rugby league ever at the top of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Lee Briers, Adrian Morley, Garreth Carvell, Alan Hunte, Mike Wainwright and Neil Harmon will be among 36 climbers heading to Tanzania in October to scale the mountain for the Steve Prescott Foundation.

Lee Briers said: “We came up with it about nine months ago as part of the Steve Prescott Foundation.

“I’ve walked from Lands End to John O’ Groats before but not done any climbing.

“I knew Steve from my playing days and then I’ve been involved with the Foundation and I’m very privileged to be asked to do it.”

And if it wasn’t a big enough challenge, the group are attempting to do it three days quicker than the usual estimated time and play a full game of rugby league at the top.

“It usually takes nine days but we’re going to do it in six.

“Then we’re going to have the world’s highest game of rugby league at the top which will go in to the Guiness World Records.

“It will have to be 13-a-side for 80 minutes for it to count.”

Who would be in your dream lineup to take part in the world's highest game of rugby league?
