FORMER students and staff from Woolston High School raised more than £700 for St Rocco’s Hospice at their school reunion.
The event was open to all students who attended the school, which opened in 1957 and closed in 2012.
Two hundred people met at Monks Social Club to catch up with each other and share memories of the school.
Teachers Barbara and Don Antrobus and metalwork teacher David Partington joined their former pupils at the reunion.
Organiser John Morris said: “We were delighted to see so many familiar faces at the event and everyone had a really great night.
“One of our team, Karen Lawton, volunteers at St Rocco’s and suggested that we might like to support them through our reunion and we were delighted to do so.”
Claire Houghton, Income Generation Lead at St Rocco’s, said: “It is great to see that the former students of Woolston High have chosen to support the hospice, a local charity which is here to help and care for the people of Warrington and their families when they need it.”
