A THREE-vehicle crash has closed the M62 westbound this afternoon.
The crash, near junction nine at Winwick, has closed the westbound carriageway for what is expected to be a short period.
Highways police will keep the exit sliproad at junction nine closed while the vehicles are recovered.
Police have thanked members of the public who assisted at the scene before their arrival.
