SALFORD City Reds will make the trip to Yorkshire this Friday to take on Leeds Rhinos at Headingley Carnegie and having not won a game there for the past 30 years the Reds will be looking at breaking the Headingley curse that has long hung over them and take a much needed win.

A near miss in the very first game this season saw Leeds take the points 26-30 at The Willows just depriving the Reds, but with the team making their first visit to Leeds under new coach Shaun McRae, hopes will be high that an upset could be on the cards and Shaun's previous experience in rugby league tells him that you should never write off the underdog.

He said: "There is no written script in sport, so anything could happen on the night. The only thing I know for sure is that I'm taking a committed, confident and determined team to Headingley on Friday."

After a jet-lagged introduction to The Willows last week new Reds' signing Phillip Leuluai has settled well into life at Salford and is now looking forward to his first encounter with nephew Kylie at the match.

He said: "I was speaking to Kylie on Tuesday night, we're all really close and he loves it here and we'll be hooking up soon enough on Friday. There will be no friendship on the field though, I promise you that."
