WOOLSTON Rovers ARLFC will be hosting their first beer festival this weekend - with a special anniversary being marked too!

The festival will be flowing at Rovers' Monk Sports Club home, Hillock Lane, with the Friday session running from 6pm to 11pm and the Saturday activities from 2pm to 7pm.

There will be 15 different beers available to sample.

Entrance to the beer festival will be £5 and that will include a commemorative pint glass and a programme.

The bar will be cashless, with those attending purchasing tokens prior to choosing their drink.

On the Saturday, there will also be a ’20-year anniversary’ reunion of the Warrington Woolston Rovers side that claimed the inaugural National League Three title in 2003 when Teesside Steelers were defeated 42-6 in the final at Winnington Park Rugby Union Club.

Anybody who was involved in the club at that time, whether it was as a player, coach, committee member or supporter, will be made welcome.
