HUNDREDS of people celebrated the life of a remarkable young man who died tragically young.

Cole Risley, from Warrington, was just 18 when he died earlier this year in February.

From birth he was described as ‘having something special’ and he remained a gentle giant.

A tree surgeon by work, he loved his job working for a landscaping company.

His mum Michelle said he would have worked seven days a week if he could.

She added: “He had a very, very big heart. He was a worker, all he wanted to do was work.

“He worked six days a week and would have worked seven if he could.”

But most important to him was his family. He loved his three siblings and his niece and had a special bond with his mum.

He was happiest when he was in their company.

“He couldn’t do enough for them (his siblings), and his biggest love and most important thing in his life was his family”, said Michelle.

A Manchester United fan from being young, he loved football and continued to support them.

His funeral was described as a celebration of his life from the hundreds of people who attended.

Held at Tetley Walkers in Orford, it was uplifting and reflected what a special human he was.

His favourite DJ/MC even attended alongside family and colleagues.

Michelle added: “He touched so many people in his life, he had so many people who thought the world of him.

“He just had a special aura. It is always the best ones who we lose earliest.

“Since he was born, there was just something about him. He was one in a million.

“He is just irreplaceable.”

On Sunday, the Warrington Guardian published an article on the inquest of Cole. We would like to apologize for any inaccuracies and the upset caused to his family.
