FIREFIGHTERS tackled a blaze along the Manchester Ship Canal in Thelwall.
One fire crew from Lymm attended the scene of the fire on Thelwall New Road at 6.52pm yesterday, Monday.
The blaze had started after an amount of foliage had set 'well alight' along the canal side.
Crews used a hose reel jet to extinguish the flames and dampen down the area.
A spokesperson from Cheshire Fire said: "Some foliage along the canal side was well alight when firefighters arrived on scene.
"Crews use a hose reel jet to extinguish the flames and dampen down the area."
