THE driver of this van was spotted by police on the M6 while holding a mobile phone to his ear.
Officers say the phone was in his left hand, whilst he was steering with a cigarette in his right hand.
The incident happened yesterday, Wednesday, on the M6 southbound at junction 19.

The driver was reported for using a mobile phone whilst driving and not wearing a seatbelt.
In a social media post, North West Motorway Police said: “The driver of this van was spotted by police on M6 Southbound at J19 holding a mobile up to his ear with his left hand, whilst steering with a cigarette in his right hand.
“Reported for using a mobile phone whilst driving, and for not wearing a seatbelt.”
Drivers using a hand-held phone when driving can get six penalty points on their licence and a £200 fine.
The penalty for not wearing a seatbelt is three penalty points and up to a £500 fine.
