A MOTORIST has been reported after travelling with an 'insecure load' of oil drums along the M62 near Widnes.
The driver, travelling in a flatbed truck, was stopped by North West Motorway Police officers along junction 7 Widnes at around 8am this morning, Friday.
It was reported that the driver was carrying an 'insecure load' of 20 oil drums in the rear of the truck that were not strapped or secured to the vehicle and were able to 'bounce around' as the vehicle travelled along the carriageway.
A spokesperson from NWMP said: "Driver had straps, but thought it was okay. Driver reported for insecure load."
