IT has been just hours since the Warrington Guardian hit news stands, but hundreds of people have already given their support to Bobby Brown.

A constant stream of people have dropped in to our Bridge Street offices with cash and cheques for the baby, who has Peters’ Anomaly.

Even more rang to ask how they could help, and hundreds called our fundraising phoneline.

Bobby’s disorder will leave him blind, unless his parents can get the money to pay for a £50,000 operation in New York.

He must have the operation, an artificial cornea transplant, before he is two months old or it will not be successful.

People all over the region have rallied around to help give Bobby the gift of sight.

The Shannon Bradshaw Trust, the charity that is co-ordinating the fundraising, has been inundated with calls all morning.

So, too, has the Abbey National, the bank that holds Bobby’s account.

But Bobby still needs your help.

If everyone gives just £1, Bobby’s family can afford to give him the best start in life.

You can call our special phone line on 09013 600 803. You’ll be billed £1, of which 75p will go to Bobby’s fund.

You can also drop into any branch of the Abbey National and donate directly into his bank account using the details below.

Or you can send cash or cheques made out to the Bobby Brown Fund to Warrington Guardian, The Academy, 138 Bridge Street, Warrington, WA1 2RU.

bobby’s account number is X15486588BRO and sort code is 09-00-00.

If there are any problems donating, call The Shannon Bradshaw Trust, which set up the bank account with £1,000 in it, on 471170.
