TWO new tenants have moved into the town’s £8.5m business incubator.

Mobile network infrastructure specialists Iris Networks and software solutions business the Clear Company have signed deals to set up shop in the Base on Dallam Lane.

The two companies will occupy nearly 1,400ft sq of space in the new development, which was opened in January.

Steve Park, managing director of Warrington and Co, said: “Investment such as the Base is helping futureproof Warrington’s economy at a time of great change.

“Our aim is to reinforce the town centre’s role as a hub for high-growth firms which will drive investment in wider infrastructure and services.

“These latest lettings tell us that our approach is the right one.”

The group property director of Langtree, which manages the Base, said that the town’s geographical location was helping to boost enquiries in the 50,000ft sq office building.

Warrington can also boast the sixth-highest number of start-up companies in the country and the most in the north west.

Jayne Furnival said: “In simple terms businesses want to be in Warrington because of its locational and workforce advantages.

“The town is attracting high-value, technology-led businesses and they want a workspace that reflects their clients’ and employees’ needs.

“The Base offers state-of-the-art facilities that suit such companies and our enquiry levels reflects that.”
