IN their opening home game of the under 13s National Basketball League season, Wire Green got off to a slow start with a 92-26 defeat against Stockport Falcons.
A multitude of Wire Green turnovers saw Stockport rattle up the points for a 48-13 half-time lead.
Cheshire had a brief rally, but Stockport ran away with the win.
The under 18s won their first game of the season at Killamarsh.
With one second remaining and three points down, Max Jones was fouled while taking a three-point shot and stepped up to take the game into extra time. Wire went on to win by seven points .
