FORMER Warrington Wolves three-quarter Matt King came out of retirement and scored the deciding try as South Sydney Rabbitohs won the NRL Nines this morning.
King, a two-times Challenge Cup winner during his four years with Wolves between 2008-11, scored the golden try to seal an 18-14 victory in the 10th minute of extra time against unfancied Cronulla Sharks at Eden Park in Auckland, New Zealand.
The former Australia Test star, who ended the two-day tournament as joint leading try scorer with four touchdowns, retired at the end of the 2013 campaign with Rabbitohs after twice breaking his arm and took up a coaching position within Michael Maguire's staff instead.
