HUDDERSFIELD Giants may have ended a long losing streak against Warrington Wolves last time out, but they are yet to beat Tony Smith’s side since 2011.

The sides shared a 24-24 draw at The Halliwell Jones Stadium last August, ending a run of nine losses on the bounce against the primrose and blue boys for Huddersfield.

The claret and golds have suffered 15 defeats from 20 games against Wolves during Tony Smith’s reign.

Meanwhile, Giants’ last victory against Wolves was a 29-10 home win almost four years ago.

But they visit Warrington as one of Super League’s form sides this time around, enjoying three successive wins after losing their opening three games.

After being nilled on the opening day at home to Hull FC, Paul Anderson’s side endured losses to Wigan Warriors and Leeds Rhinos.

They have since beaten Widnes Vikings, nilled Castleford Tigers and put 44 points on Wakefield.

Former St Helens man Anderson added to his roster this term with former Tigers half back Jamie Ellis, teammate Craig Huby, Bradford Bulls’ Oliver Roberts and Wigan loanee Jack Hughes.

Scrum half Ellis has crossed for three tries this campaign, bedding into a half-back partnership with Danny Brough, who has seven try assists – second only to Rangi Chase in Super League – and 17 goals.
