A GUARDIAN Cup-winning management team of Dave Parr and Paul Anderson have resigned from Rylands.

Parr wishes to take a break from amateur football after three years at the Gorsey Lane helm.

"It was a very difficult decision to make as I have enjoyed my three years as manager which culminated with the team winning the Guardian Cup a few weeks ago," he said.

"Ironically this achievement helped me to reach the decision to leave the post and I feel the time is now right for somebody with the energy and drive to take the squad forward to the next level.

"There are ambitious plans for the development of the club which I genuinely hope progress to fruition, and I have offered to assist the club in any aspect of this project in future.”

Chairman Ian Finchett added: "Both have worked tirelessly to bring success, which finally arrived a few weeks ago. On behalf of the committee, players and myself personally, I would like to thank them both."
