JAMES Green of Hull Kingston Rovers has been charged with making a Grade C reckless shoulder strike on Warrington Wolves player Gene Ormsby in the 50th minute of the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup semi-final at Headingley Carnegie on Saturday August 1.
Green was charged after the incident was viewed by the RFL Match Review Panel, which also issued a formal caution to Kris Welham of Hull KR for making a dangerous throw on Anthony England in the 55th minute in the same fixture.
Green does not have the option of submitting an EGP and will appear before an independent disciplinary tribunal on Tuesday evening.
Ormsby suffered a broken jaw in the collision.
