GENE Ormsby needed plates on ‘both sides’ of his jaw following the injury he sustained in Warrington Wolves’ Challenge Cup semi final defeat to Hull KR on Saturday.
Hull KR’s James Green has been charged with making a Grade C reckless shoulder strike for the incident that left Ormsby with a broken jaw.
“Gene has had his operation,” said Tony Smith. “He’s got a plate on both sides of his jaw, he had a complete break from both sides.
“He’ll be eight weeks rehab hopefully.”
Wolves also lost Ben Harrison to concussion during Saturday’s defeat.
“Bennie Harrison we’ll have to assess as the week goes on, he hasn’t trained yet,” added Smith.
