CROSFIELDS Amateur Rugby League Club's new season starts on Saturday.
The first team head to Wakefield to tackle Yorkshire Men’s League side Westgate Common in the Challenge Cup first round, kick-off 1.30pm.
Head coach Matty Wilson has been joined by former St Helens professional Pete Cannon as preparations have mounted for the new campaign, which sees Soap playing in National Conference League Division One following last season’s promotion.
BOXING:
PHOENIX Fire Boxing Club have their annual Parr Hall boxing show on Saturday, February 18.
'Carnage after Christmas' will include an afternoon of up-and-coming talent from Warrington having skills bouts from 2pm to 5pm, with £5 entry, before moving onto the night time show in which some great Warrington talents will be fighting opponents from other clubs across the country.
Spectators can pay on the door, with boxing scheduled from 6.30pm to 10pm, entry fee £15 adults, £10 pensioners, under 15s and students.
All money goes to 'keeping the kids off the streets in Warrington'.
